Another update now live, big changes on login and registration:

No invitations necessary: YES, you don’t need an invite anymore to become a part of hexagon. Remember that you can always make your group private or invite only. So if you don’t want anyone in your group, set your group as invite only. One consequence of the open registration is that you will now need to fill a captcha in order to register.

OpenID: Another registration improvement, you can now login to hexagon using an external account such as google, yahoo, wordpress, myspace, flickr, aol and more. And if you don’t trust any of these companies, you can still run your own OpenID server and use that OR stick to the hexagon login system.
!!Important: if you already have a hexagon account, go to your profile and add your OpenID there in order to link it to your current hexagon account.!!

Feeds: feeds will now show HTML in your reader.

We don’t hide torrents info by default anymore.

all torrents should upload fine and trackers should work great too.

fix embedding youtube videos in comments.

fix for notifications that weren’t working for the last 4 or 5 weeks, sorry about that.

fix JS issue when subscribing to group notifications.

fix some resource picker nasty bugs.

tons of other bug fixes and UI enhancements.

Also we noticed that email notifications for updates on user’s subscriptions weren’t working and that was resolved.

Loving the new updates, great work guys. Logging in is super fast now and I really enjoy the new description layout, it’s easy to see how much times a file has been downloaded without having to scroll all the way down.

There is a bug with member count and logging it in the drop down Groups menu, for example a couple groups register -1 than the actual member count. See pic below.

Got it! You just use something like Trailer and it will show up. Awesome.

Great to see improvements and bug fixes. But the one bug fix that the biggest group on the site is desperate for, is still being waited for. SO many torrents can’t be uploaded, still, after all these months. Will it ever be made a priority?

Getting error 500 since this morning.

Unable to up anything to my newly created group.

Bummer!
